Ready to get on the water? Enroll in our 2-week “Intro to Sculling” program and acquire
more of the basics. This program is offered in a small-group setting and is highly
individualized over the four sessions. Thursday evenings you will learn the basics of the
stroke on a rowing machine, and on Saturday mornings you will practice those skills in a
stable boat with an experienced rower. (Sculling 101 is recommended but not required.)
Cost: $100 Fees are all-inclusive– no extra fees for renting equipment. All equipment
is provided. Just bring yourself, a pair of socks, a hat, a water bottle and an open
attitude! (inquire about the possibility of a reduced-rate or free participation if needed
due to financial limitations). Proceeds from this program help support our programs for
veterans, adaptive rowers, and youth.

‘Intro to Sculling’ sessions take place at DSC’s boathouse, 4950 Buckley Cove Way in
Stockton, California.
This is an opportunity to enjoy the outdoors, more specifically the expansive waterways
of the California Delta that are a regional treasure. Intro to Sculling is designed for those
ready to commit time and energy to learning the basics. After, you will be ready for the
next step – our three-month novice masters program.
