DSC ROWED THEIR HEARTS OUT DURING CONCEPT2’S 2023 HOLIDAY CHALLENGE

Team Delta took up Concept2’s challenge and erged 2,312,034 meters between Thanksgiving and Christmas Eve. We went the equivalent of all the way to Seattle, turned around, and wound up only 113.7 miles from Sacramento! Or if you consider that we rowed east from Stockton, we rowed within 140 miles of Oklahoma City! Quite a feat (pun intended)!

• We were 6^th in the world among the 18 affiliates with 21-50 rowers in the competition! Only two affiliations with fewer rowers than DSC outpaced us!! Of the 358 active affiliations overall, we finished in 33^rd place!
• The Abreu’s, Adriana (who reached the 300 km. mark!), Renaldo (with 22O) and Rebecca (@ 131), accounted for over 28% of the total meters erged!
• Fifteen Team Delta rowers passed the 100 km. plateau needed to contribute money to charities. Paul Weissenborn (with 202 kms.) joined Adriana and Renaldo in raising $0.04/meter, and the following rowers earned $0.02/meter: Rebecca (131), Jeanine (128), Jean (127), Cory (126), Jane (123), Bob O. (115), “Name Withheld” (111), Pat (107). Beverly (106), Jeff (105), Lisa (104), and Paul Feist (101).
• Elise (@ 78) and Amy (58) surpassed the 50 km. mark. Also accumulating meters for Team Delta were Ralph, Vicki, John, Megan, Michael, and James.
